Karma Automotive

Karma Automotive LLC, at 9950 Jeronimo Road in Irvine, is a state-of-the-art luxury electric automobile design and manufacturing company. Karma has the unique distinction of being the only enterprise currently creating and building electric cars in Southern California. As the company continues to evolve, Karma is diversifying to provide high-tech engineering, design, customization and concept incubation services to like-minded manufacturers.

In 2017 Karma formalized their company-wide “Karma Energy Conservation Program” and expanded it in 2019 to include natural gas conservation and water use efficiency. “Participation in the WaterStar program will help us to meet our water use reduction goals going forward,” explains Mike Safranski, Karma’s Director of Facilities.

Toward meeting these goals, all new Karma facilities’ construction includes water-efficient fixtures. Some of Karma’s newly-installed fixtures are also capable of recharging the batteries in flush valves by using water flow. Karma is also careful to identify and repair all leaks (both inside and outside) promptly, while working closely with their landscape contractor to maximize irrigation efficiency. These efficiency measures have allowed Karma Automotive to save 1.4 million gallons of water per year.
